Anyone, who has ever read the Bible knows, it indirectly talks about guardian angels. The words “guardian angels” are never used. Although, there are examples of angels, with the jobs of protecting humans (Acts 12:6-10). In times of distress angels are sent to help guide and protect humans (2Kings 6:13-17). Angels are immersed in all the affairs of the world (Isaiah 37:33-36; Matthew 18:10). I am certain if, you think about it. There has been a time in your life, when you felt like someone was watching over you.
Have you ever sensed the touch of a hand on your shoulder? You turn around and find no one is there. Have you thought, a hand had stopped you from doing something that could cause you bodily harm? Do you get the sensation, someone in the room with you? You look around and find no one is there? Maybe, you heard someone call your name. Only to discover, you are alone. If, any of these things happened to you then, you have a guardian angel? They are signs that your guardian angel is around you and is protecting you. Everyone has a guardian angel or two. The Celtics believed guardian angels were persons you had a strong relationship with that are deceased. This is what I believe, to be true.
I know, I have a guardian angel. My guardian angel is my grandfather. I had always been close to my grandfather. He meant the world to me. During my teenage years, I would spend the summers, in the mountains of Pennsylvania, with him and my grandmother. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of reading my poetry and stories to him. He was my biggest fan. When he passed away, I wrote a poem in his honor. All copies of the poem have since disappeared. The poem must have been meant, for his ears only.
My guardian angel saved my life. I was walking to the store. I had to cross a four-lane highway. I was crossing at the light. The traffic light was red. The walk sign indicated it was safe for me to walk. I look for cars but, nothing was coming in either direction. I started to cross the road. I felt something or someone pull me back, with such force, I fell to the ground. A car sped through the red light. If I would have crossed the road, when I was going to, I would have been hit. I looked around, for the person, I had thought, pulled me back. There was no one in sight. The aroma of my grandfather’s aftershave filled the air. I know, it was him, who pulled me back. My guardian angel had saved my life. At the least, I was saved from being badly hurt.
Whether or not, you believe in guardian angels doesn't really matter. They will still protect you, even if, you don't believe they are there. It is a guardian angel’s job to protect and guide humans being without the humans knowing they are being help.
